In the early 2000s, the lottery industry made news when a group of citizens and students embarked on their own gamification of how to purchase the Cash Winfall game. Over two decades later, where are we as an industry in protecting the perceived fairness and integrity of lottery games? Since 2020, another group known as Black Swan has been requesting prize information and buying in bulk as part of their gamification scheme. With the sophistication of AI, what are we doing to protect the integrity of games while upholding statutory requirements? What rules in your jurisdiction (i.e. level of information that must be shared) should be reconsidered in light of these advances to keep fair play for all?
